The Tri Nebula Alliance (TNA) is a mix between a federation and a confederation of 3 member states: Earthmerist, Exondonnari, and The Core. The 3 member states of the Tri Nebula Alliance are united in their militaries and economies; each member state has their own government and laws. The Tri Nebula Alliance has a total area of around 14 lightyears and an estimated total population of over 40,341,840,000,000. The TNA has often been described as a sui generis political entity (without precedent or comparison) combining the characteristics of both a federation and a confederation.
